Review: August Birchbox

Overall I loved this months Birchbox and the theme too #BEAUTYJUNKIE which was really cute with the Birchbox designed emoji’s. The discovery of some new brands this month like ‘Huygens’ was great and it was lovely to receive a product from one of my favourite brands – Rituals. So here are some photo’s of this months goodies:

What I received this month:

1.// Rituals fortune scrub: As I said before I love Rituals all of their products are fantastic and smell incredible! I hadn’t tried this scrub before, so I was very excited to receive it and it smells yummy too!

2.// Lord and Berry blush in lotus: I love the colour of this blush it’s a pretty dusky pink colour I just wish the blush sample itself didn’t come in plastic packaging.

3.// Huygens exfoliating cream: Love this scrub it doesn’t dry out your skin and isn’t too harsh on the skin either.

4.// Kebelo clarifying shampoo: I used this the other day and it is a great clarifying shampoo it left my hair feeling super clean and not stripped of its natural oils.

5// Laura Mercier full blown volume supreme mascara: That is a mouthful ha ha. I love Laura Mercier such a great brand.

6// L. Erickson ponytail holder: This hair bobble looks like rope it is quite odd but is comfortable to wear in your hair at the gym or lounging at home.

I give this months Birchbox an 8/10 as overall I loved it. It’s the few points that I mentioned which I believe let it down this month.

Review: April Birchbox

Hi Everyone!

Got to say I was so happy with this months box, way better than last months. From the box design to the products inside everything was on point, apart from the Laura Mercier eyeliner which feels solid and no product goes on the eyes it’s very odd! Here are some photos of this months box-

I received a Lola Barcelona nail polish in a beautiful fuchsia colour, I can’t wait to use this polish. I absolutely love the Percy & Reed ‘no oil oil’ it’s fantastic, definitely my new favourite. The oil smells amazing and it is so lightweight on the hair and makes it feel soft and shiny. So as I said before the Laura Mercier eyeliner just wont work, my eyes just felt sore after trying to get the product onto my eye. Maybe I just got a faulty eyeliner haha! I also got a Bliss face wash which I haven’t tried yet, I really don’t like the packaging of this product it looks very cheap but that’s just my opinion. I have already received a Korres shower gel from birchbox before but I didn’t mind getting another one this month as they smell great. Lastly I got some ‘energy boosting’ vitamins that contain Vitamin D, B12, B6 etc. which is great as living in England we all could use extra Vitamin D.
