My Current Favourite Perfumes | Jimmy Choo, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and more!

20160504_171755-1

Today, I decided to share some of my favourite perfumes at the moment. The first one is Flash by Jimmy Choo, I love the design of this bottle. Flash is a lovely fruity/floral fragrance perfect for everyday.

20160504_171652

This one is called Desire by Dolce & Gabbana. It’s more intense so I prefer to wear this as an evening scent. I would describe the scent as a floral/musky scent.

20160504_172204-1

The next is Black XS by Paco Rabanne and I actually like this one… surprisingly! As I don’t like any of their other fragrances. This is a floral/fruity scent with some woody notes. I do however wish the design was more elegant as I find their perfumes to look and smell quite cheap!

20160618_114354-1

Absolutely IN LOVE with this fragrance! Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana has to go on my list of all time favourites. I love the design of this bottle it’s so feminine and beautiful. I love the scent too it’s perfect for spring/summer as it’s a lovely delicate floral and fresh scent.

20160618_131104

Gucci Guilty, again has to be one of my all time favourites! It has a very distinctive scent and it lasts for a long time. Personally I like to use this as an evening scent as I find it a bit strong.

20160618_120224-1

I was pleasantly surprised with this perfume that was sent to me to try out. The Bronnley England, Crimson Cloud perfume smells very similar to the Paco Rabanne perfume I mentioned before (they both have fragrance notes of violet, patchouli, berries and rose) and this one is more affordable and I actually prefer this one. I also love the simplistic design.

Thanks for reading! What are some of your favourite fragrances?

RITUALS: Sakura Collection Body Scrub & Shower Foam Review

2016-06-10 13.12.56

Rituals is without a doubt one of my favourite cosmetics brands. All of the Rituals products I have tried are so luxurious and beautiful! I loved the Happy Buddha collection so much that I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed with the Sakura collection, and I was right because I love it too.

Each collection that Rituals creates is inspired by eastern traditions and the idea behind everything is that ‘happiness can be found in the smallest of things’. The Sakura collection is inspired by the Japanese celebration of the annual Sakura (Cherry Blossom) flowering which symbolises that ‘beauty is momentary and life should be enjoyed’! This collection combines the fragrance of cherry blossom and nourishing rice milk.

2016-06-10 13.16.59

The Ritual of Sakura Body Scrub smells amazing, the scent of cherry blossom is a very feminine floral scent that I find quite relaxing. The scrub itself is a sugar scrub so it’s not too harsh on the skin and it is also enriched with really nourishing oils. After using this scrub my skin was radiant and felt so soft and silky smooth. I have to say as well that I am obsessed with their packaging, everything always looks so stunning.

The Ritual of Sakura Shower foam is so lovely. I have used this one before when it was called Zensation, I mentioned it in my Happy Buddha collection review. I love the concept of a shower foam, they smell amazing and are a gel to foam formula. The Sakura shower foam leaves your skin so soft with it’s wonderfully rich lather.

I am so thankful to have received these products to review, as they are fantastic and I would definitely recommend them!

Balance Me Cream Cleanser & Balancing Face Moisturiser Review

BeautyPlus_20160601135300_save

I absolutely love skincare products, it’s become a bit of an obsession of mine. So I was really happy to receive these Balance Me product samples to try. Especially the cream cleanser as I haven’t used one for a while now, and I forgot just how nourishing they are to the skin!

The Balance Me Collagen Boost Restore and Replenish Cream Cleanser (£18/125ml) doesn’t disappoint. This luxurious creamy cleanser claims to prevent signs of ageing and soothe irritation while removing all make-up leaving the skin dewy and refreshed. It also promises to leave your skin feeling softer, hydrated, smoother and plumper! I must say that this gentle cleanser really does leave your skin feeling softer and smoother and definitely more radiant. The texture is lovely and rich so you can massage it onto dry skin really well before removing it with either cotton pads, a flannel or water. This product is suitable for all skin types and it even works well with my combination skin.

The Balance Me Daily Essentials Balancing Face Moisturiser (£24/50ml) was created for combination to oily, acne-prone skin. This product claims to calm, hydrate, tackle oiliness and congestion leaving the skin smooth and balanced. This lightweight moisturiser does hydrate while leaving the skin matte, a perfect base for make-up. This moisturiser is perfect for my combination skin as it controls oiliness while tackling any dry areas. However, I am not sold on the strong floral scent of this product. It does fade after a minute or two so it doesn’t bother me too much.

I would recommend these products as they are effective and great quality with 99% natural ingredients!

Review: April Birchbox

First of all, I cannot believe it’s been 7 months since my last blog post! I really did neglect my blog and I am sorry. I am hoping to start blogging again and I hope I will enjoy it as much as I did last year.

This months Birchbox was beautifully designed I loved the pretty flowers on the box that contained 5 luxe beauty samples. I wish there would have been one or two more samples this month e.g. a lifestyle extra would have been nice. Here are some photos of this months beauty treats:20160412_111630-1-120160412_111940-1-1

What I received this month:

1.// Benefit Cosmetics Dew the Hoola: It’s always nice to receive benefit products because you just know that they are of great quality and I am excited to try this liquid bronzer.

2.// Cynthia Rowley Beauty’s eyeliner in Black: I love this eyeliner it’s creamy and glides on so easily.

3.// NUXE Huile Prodigieuse: I have wanted to try a product from NUXE for a while so I was happy to receive this multi-purpose face, hair and body oil.

4.// Parlor by Jeff Chastain detangling leave-in conditioner: I have tried their sea salt spray and I didn’t love it so I hope this product will be better.

5.// Kueshi foot care cream: This foot cream contains royal jelly, sweet almond oil and tea tree oil.

I give this months Birchbox an 6/10 as overall one or two more products would have been nice and I have already got the Cynthia Rowley eye liner in silver and a Parlor hair product from a previous Birchbox.

Hope you enjoyed my review!

Review: Minx nails

20150813_170845

Minx have recently been ReMinxed! They have got new designs and collections so I was so happy to try these out. I received the Tequila Sunrise design from Minx and I absolutely love the look of these on my nails! I wasn’t so sure if I would like them at first as I have never had nail art on my nails before, but they look so colourful and fun I wish I could wear them all the time.

If you love Pretty little liars as much as I do you have probably noticed the cool nail art that the girls have on the show. I love that you can create a similar look at home with Minx. Other celebs such as my favourite rapper/artist M.I.A. have also been seen wearing Minx which is really cool!

I was a little intimidated at first as I thought the nail wraps would be really hard to apply but It was actually a lot easier than I thought. They stay on really well I have washed dishes and washed my hair with these on and they are still staying strong! I would say that when you are applying them take your time and make sure you smooth them out correctly from the centre outwards so there are no air bubbles. You will need a nail file to remove the excess Minx and I also used little nail scissors which helped! I love the overall look and I will definitely love to try more designs!

Ragdale Hall – health, hydro and thermal spa

I went to Ragdale for a weekend about a month ago and I absolutely loved my stay it was super relaxing and revitalising. Radale hall is a beautiful and historic building that has actually been around since the 1700’s in the countryside of Leicestershire. It has been known to be one of the best spa’s in the country and I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. altAlYzIr376EzpkiGYX2Qtq0ELmNla1PHT4ZIOZ9_u43ed When we arrived there was a valet to park our car and staff to assign us to our rooms and to take up our luggage. First we went to the conservatory to fill out some forms and we got a complimentary fruit punch. Then we went to our rooms and got ready to go to the spa. altAl_jZw9ilPphU9IJfn6tQvYCwzAnGLktabkpEhSu9TAn altAheIukwVAp2kLafi4vAmNslOyGfOqtZvyxzOZymO730f altAhhvAFoZn8fcBG3YTEPmKa48LdnlnUe5wcTLS9PQIvPi The spa area has been designed for Ragdale Hall and can’t be found anywhere else in the world. There are 12 luxurious and unique heat and water experiences including the candle pool which you have to walk down to, it is a warm and cosy little cave like area which is a great area to have a silent retreat to and it has beautiful twinkly lights. There is an outdoor heated pool which has a waterfall and massage jets which really help to soothe your shoulders and back, it was raining when my friend and I went out there and it was a very unique experience as the rain was cold and pouring down on your head and yet the rest of your body is warm from the pool. There is the thought zone which wasn’t working when we went, as they were experiencing some problems but it wasn’t really of much interest to me anyway; it is supposed to project calming images designed to help you to reflect. There is a colourflow cave which is a steam room and has a lovely scent of jasmine and camomile and a ‘river of colour flows to a central crystal mountain’. There is a scented room which was one of my favourites and as the name suggests there was a lovely scent of lavender which was so relaxing. There is a rose sauna and also a cave shower which was really fun as it had sound effects of thunder and lightning and different water settings such as mist and rainfall. altAqOEPWw3HD75B15397boM-AglVUMnp0TTULL_BASYCUm After this we got changed and went for lunch which was a buffet and there was a lovely selection of food and yummy chocolate mousse desserts! We signed up to go to the sunset stretch class before dinner which was a mix of yoga and Pilates and was thoroughly relaxing that I could just fall asleep right there and then. Dinner was wonderful I had pea soup for starter, the duck for main and marmalade on toast ice cream for dessert which tasted amazing. We went for a stroll in the gardens after dinner and went on one of the seat swings while watching others play golf. Then we borrowed some dvd’s from the reception and they had a list of some of the best rom-com movies. We watched Chalet girl which is one of my favourites so I was pleased, and then went to bed. altAsmZjDBhlOm4q8X1wZrG9t1dKChcwFPpqsfaAKcD0vPw altAnl2LJK_ujOSEOPlwjXOaH_hB_n3lazD4HBMzXKaadoz altAjnyF92udHHQStfDSwRj-vh_1AlY2hLRYsKeMtqG_inv The next morning we had breakfast in bed which was great as we don’t usually have that luxury at home and it was like a little breakfast feast, there was a variety of breakfast items to choose from and it was really fun picking them out, I ended up having Weetabix, a delicious muffin, a banana, orange and mango smoothie and a cup of tea. I ended up saving the banana for later as I was absolutely full. altAj-qkLAQwml7smJyfRXDjIi62gO_iDtTJOO92kjEP_xz That afternoon we had our treatments. They have a wide range of new, holistic, and traditional spa treatments. I had a facial which I loved, it consisted of Spa Find products which are a top spa brand and is really good quality. You could also purchase them in the beauty shop which also stocks brands such as: Clarins, Decleor, Elemis, OPI Nailcare, Susan Posnick, Dior, Bline, Nougat, Neom and Fake Bake. There is also a lovely boutique and my mum purchased some ‘fitflops’ which she was very happy about, other ranges available include: Fransa, Oui, Steillman, Redfoot shoes, Bugatti Jewellery. They also have an adorable gift shop which is where I bought a little sign saying ‘if the shoe fits buy it in every colour’ I thought this was really cute. WP_20141010_002 We had tea in the veranda bar and I had also had a chocolate orange cupcake. I love seeing all the healthy options in Spa’s but Ragdale prides itself on not only being a relaxing retreat but a healthy one too, they have gluten-free, dairy free and vegan options and they also have an impressive gym and exercise pool. Their dinner menu also has little windows to represent how many calories were in each dish, I thought this was a very informative yet innovative touch to the menu. We had a last swim in one of the 5 swimming pools! Packed our belongings and went home. I had an absolutely amazing time and cant wait to visit once again!

Review: July Birchbox ♥

I loved this months BirchBox… well BirchBag I should say! This months products came in a cute wash bag that is very handy for travelling.

Here are some photos of this months goodies:
WP_20150710_006 WP_20150710_012 WP_20150710_015 WP_20150710_017

What I got this month:

1// Balance Me Congested Skin Serum: I cannot wait to try out this product I have heard great things about this product and apparently it smells amazing! It is also 99% natural which is an added bonus.

2// Benefit Dream Screen: I love Benefit and this sun cream is fantastic! It has a matte finish and is very lightweight. It is perfect to wear on a sunny day underneath any make-up.

3// POP Beauty Eye-shadow Trio (Peach Parfait): These eye shadows are very pigmented, are such pretty colours and they blend really well! Perfect for summer.

4// UNANI Aloe Vera Gel:  I love Aloe Vera it is so soothing on the skin so I was happy to have received this. It is very lightweight, moisturising and non-greasy.

5// JELLY PONG PONG Glow Getter Luminizer Gel: This was actually the full size version of the product and I love it! It’s lightweight and adds a pretty pearly glow to the skin.

6// Spa to You Nail file: I love a good nail file and this one has such a pretty pattern. I actually don’t own a long nail file, all of mine are mini ones about half the size of this one. So it was nice to get this nail file this month.

Overall I loved this months BirchBag!

I would give it a 9 out of 10, it would have been 10/10 if we got to choose the colour of the wash bag!

Review: June Birchbox ♥

I absolutely loved this month’s Birchbox especially the box design, it is so pretty! This month Birchbox collaborated with French Sole to bring us these beautifully designed boxes and we were faced with a decision to make on which one we wanted. Here are some photos of the one I chose:

WP_20150610_001WP_20150610_003WP_20150610_002

In this months box there were 7 items in total –

  • COWSHED blissful body lotion – Out of all the products this month this was my favourite. I had heard of this brand before but never tried any of their products so it was a nice surprise to receive this one. This lotion smells amazing! It reminded me of sweets at first but once you rub it in the essential oil scents emerge of Ylang Ylang, Moroccan rose and lavender. The texture of the lotion is really lovely it absorbs into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy or sticky residue.
  • Cynthia Rowley lip stain – I love the design of the tube it’s really cool but that’s all I liked about this one. The texture of this product is quite odd for a lip stain as it’s quite thick and I find that the colour doesn’t last as long as some lip stains I have tried. It isn’t an awful product just needs a few tweaks!
  • Penhaligon’s Iris Prima Eau de Parfum – This fragrance was inspired by a night at the English national ballet. I think this one is a love or hate kind of perfume and I do like this one. It has quite a deep floral scent and is also musky, it isn’t as feminine as I expected it to be I feel like a certain scent in this perfume overpowers the others perhaps it’s the sandalwood. I think it works well as an evening fragrance though.
  • HIP ultra shine shampoo – I do love the peppermint and eucalyptus scent of this shampoo it’s really lovely and fresh and leaves your hair feeling squeaky clean. However I didn’t find that it made my hair look any brighter than usual and this was what the product promises. Overall I would use the shampoo again anyway as I loved the scent and how it makes your hair feel.
  • STYLONDON metallic tattoos – These look so pretty, I haven’t had a chance to use these yet but I am very excited to as I have seen them around on Instagram and they look really cool. These are a great alternative to a permanent tattoo as you can wear them once and try another pattern next time, no commitments necessary!
  • Premae Mild Pro Dermabrasion – I love this scrub it’s really creamy and it contains olive granules which smooth the skin and leave it feeling really soft too. This is a great product to use a couple of times a week! You can use it as a body or face scrub, I have been using it on my face as it’s nice and gentle. This scrub is not too abrasive like some face scrubs out there.
  • French sole shoe bag – I love that we got to choose the design of our box and shoe bag that we received this month so obviously I was very happy with mine, if I’m being picky it could have been a tad larger but other than that I have no negative things to say about this one it’s great!

Review: April Birchbox

Hi Everyone!

Got to say I was so happy with this months box, way better than last months. From the box design to the products inside everything was on point, apart from the Laura Mercier eyeliner which feels solid and no product goes on the eyes it’s very odd! Here are some photos of this months box-

WP_20150416_006 WP_20150416_008

I received a Lola Barcelona nail polish in a beautiful fuchsia colour, I can’t wait to use this polish. I absolutely love the Percy & Reed ‘no oil oil’ it’s fantastic, definitely my new favourite. The oil smells amazing and it is so lightweight on the hair and makes it feel soft and shiny. So as I said before the Laura Mercier eyeliner just wont work, my eyes just felt sore after trying to get the product onto my eye. Maybe I just got a faulty eyeliner haha! I also got a Bliss face wash which I haven’t tried yet, I really don’t like the packaging of this product it looks very cheap but that’s just my opinion. I have already received a Korres shower gel from birchbox before but I didn’t mind getting another one this month as they smell great. Lastly I got some ‘energy boosting’ vitamins that contain Vitamin D, B12, B6 etc. which is great as living in England we all could use extra Vitamin D.

Review: Amie Skincare

Amie was kind enough to send me some of their amazing products to review for you all. I received the deep cleansing facial mask and the daily moisturiser which I must admit I was very impressed with.

WP_20150123_002

WP_20150123_004 WP_20150123_006

Amie products were created for young skin as it is gentle and on average 95% natural which is perfect for all skin types as there are no harsh chemicals to irritate the skin. Amie products keep your skin balanced: oiliness and spots are reduced and they provide moisture and hydration. These products are also pH balanced and dermatologically tested.

Deep Cleansing mask: First of all it smells amazing like freshly squeezed lemons, it’s so refreshing and it blends so effortlessly. It sets really nicely and it feels like its getting to work while it is on as you can feel a slight tingle which indicates the deep cleansing. I left the mask on for 10 minutes and afterwards my skin felt great: It removed excess oil and my skin felt so smooth and soft. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Daily moisturiser: This product smells really nice too like roses! The texture is a lot like simple’s light moisturiser- not too rich and it absorbs into the skin quickly without a greasy feeling but this product is 10 times better, I think I found a new favourite. My skin felt so smooth and hydrated after using this moisturiser it’s great.

I’m so glad I tried these products and I will definitely have to try more of Amie’s products as these are fantastic. You can buy Amie products from John Lewis for under £10!
