Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash & Flash Cleanse Micellar Water Review

20160825_131129.jpg

I wanted to try these products for a while and was very thankful when I got sent these to try out, thank you balance me! I think it is wonderful that there are brands dedicated to making natural and effective skincare products and Balance me happen to be great at that.

I really wanted to try the pure skin face wash (£16) as it is for normal to combination skin types and I have combination skin. This face wash claims to cleanse, balance and refresh the skin while gently removing impurities to prevent blemished/congested skin. I must say this cleanser leaves my skin feeling really clean and fresh, and as with other products I have tried from Balance me this product leaves your skin with a lovely glow. The pure skin face wash is really gentle on the skin and helps to calm blemishes. The floral citrus scent is really lovely too.

The flash cleanse micellar water (£16) is for all skin types. It claims to boost the skins hydration/radiance, soothe sensitive skin, promote natural collagen production and remove every day make-up with ease. This product again leaves your skin hydrated and with a lovely glow. It definitely removes all traces of makeup and dirt on the skin without leaving your skin feeling dry and tight. The packaging is really great, I love the pump on the top as it means you get just the right amount of product that you need! I apply this product on clean dry skin with cotton pads, it’s so easy and simple to use!

I would definitely recommend these products, I think they are fantastic! I also really liked the Balance me cream cleanser and balancing face moisturiser, you can see my review of those products here.

Rosie For Autograph Lip Glossy & Bronzer Review

20160810_171806

I recently went to Marks & Spencer to take a look at the Rosie for Autograph makeup line as I heard so many good things about it! I have to say I wasn’t disappointed, the packaging is so beautiful and I especially loved the colour range of the lipsticks. I really like how the makeup shades are quite natural. I got two products from the range, the “Lip Glossy” in the shade super model smile and the “Insta-Glow Matte Bronzer”. I am really happy with my purchases and I have been using these products almost everyday now.

I really love the “Lip Glossy” the colour is perfect for everyday. It’s a lovely shiny and moisturising formula too, so it’s comfortable to wear. The texture is lovely it glides on very easily.

The bronzer is described as having a matte finish but it definitely isn’t, as it has shimmer highlighter marbleised in it. It gives a lovely natural glow and warmth to the skin. I really like this product and just look how pretty it is –

I am definitely going get the lip glossy in some other colours, there are some beautiful shades in the range! Have you tried any of the products from Rosie’s makeup line?

Review: Birchbox July 2016

20160713_143313-1 (1)

This month’s Birchbox was in collaboration with Millie Mackintosh, and everyone this month got the Loc x Millie ultra-gloss lip pencil in Bohemian Rose which Millie designed and named herself. I was honestly expecting much more from this product as I have to say I didn’t love it. The texture is very waxy/sticky and I didn’t find the shade flattering at all even though it was meant to be universally flattering.

20160713_143006 (1)20160713_142450

Apart from the Loc x Millie product, I was very happy with everything else that I got this month. We got to choose which John Frieda product we wanted out of the anti-frizz primer or the 7 day volume treatment. I chose the forever smooth anti-frizz primer. It works really well in my hair to reduce frizz and it’s hydrating too. I also got the Caudalie micellar cleansing water which I love. It leaves your skin really clean and fresh, it also has a really nice scent. I haven’t tried the Elemis hydra-boost day cream yet but I am sure it will be lovely as there are so many good reviews about this product. Lastly I got a Nails inc nail polish that I wish I could have picked the shade for, as I don’t usually wear dark colours on my nails so that was a bit disappointing but I do love Nails inc polishes so I will probably use this product anyway.

Overall I would have to give this months box a 7 out of 10!

My Current Skincare Routine

20160701_120213-1-1.jpg

Today, I decided to share my updated and current Skincare Routine that has been working well for my combination and blemish prone skin. I like to switch up my routine and try new things, so I thought it would be nice to talk a bit about the products I am using at the moment! It might be helpful to share what my skin is like: I have combination skin which means I get shiny on the t-zone area but I also get dry patches. I also get blemishes on my cheeks and forehead. I like to use products that are going to help prevent/reduce blemishes and remove excess oils without drying out the skin.

I have been using the Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser (£5.24), I love this stuff it makes your skin feel so clean and smooth without leaving it feeling tight and you don’t have to use a lot of it so it will last a long time. For toner I have been using the La Rosche-Posay Serozinc Spray (£8.50), I am so glad I tried this as it is definitely a new favourite and I will be repurchasing this once I have finished it. It leaves your skin hydrated but makes it less shiny and matte. For serum I have been using the Ole Henrikson Truth Serum (sample from a Birchbox) in the morning and the Witch Naturally Clear Overnight Serum (£5.99) at night. I really like the Truth Serum it’s really nourishing but I don’t like the Witch overnight serum so much as it doesn’t make a big difference, it does help reduce redness but doesn’t reduce blemishes much at all, I don’t like to waste things so I will try and use this up anyway. I have been using the Heliocare gel oil free sun-cream SPF 50 which for me is a really important step in my routine, as it is tinted it doesn’t leave a white cast on the skin and it has a matte finish. The Balance Me balancing face moisturiser (Sample sent to me for review) is perfect for combination skin and I have a full review of it – here. Finally, I have been using the Huygens Le Gommage Visage scrub (sample from a Birchbox) which is also a really lovely product, it exfoliates really well and it isn’t too harsh on the skin.

What skin care products have you been loving at the moment? I would love to know!

Bronnley England Orange & Jasmine Products Review

Bronnley.jpg

I was recently sent these Bronnley England products to try and I have to say that they are really lovely. I got everybody in my household to try these products and everyone agreed that scent is beautiful. The Orange & Jasmine fragrance has “bitter sweet top notes of tangy orange and mandarin, that yields to a floral heart of jasmine and lily, on top of a sweet musky base”. I love how refreshing this scent is!

The hand wash (£10) leaves your skin soft and clean and it foams up really nicely. The scent of this product is amazing, once it lathers up you get a waft of orange scent like someone is peeling an orange right next to you! The floral notes are more delicate and sweet. The packaging is nice but could be a lot nicer for the price I believe.

The hand and nail cream (£5) is really lovely, definitely a new favourite of mine. It leaves your hands silky soft and doesn’t leave them feeling greasy at all. This hand cream is enriched with pro vitamin B5 to nourish the skin. It’s the perfect size for your handbag too!

Overall, the products are really nice and I am happy to have been introduced to this brand! The products mentioned can be purchased on the Bronnley England website here. I also included the Bronnley England Crimson Cloud perfume in my current favourite perfumes blog post, see it here- link

My Current Favourite Perfumes | Jimmy Choo, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and more!

20160504_171755-1

Today, I decided to share some of my favourite perfumes at the moment. The first one is Flash by Jimmy Choo, I love the design of this bottle. Flash is a lovely fruity/floral fragrance perfect for everyday.

20160504_171652

This one is called Desire by Dolce & Gabbana. It’s more intense so I prefer to wear this as an evening scent. I would describe the scent as a floral/musky scent.

20160504_172204-1

The next is Black XS by Paco Rabanne and I actually like this one… surprisingly! As I don’t like any of their other fragrances. This is a floral/fruity scent with some woody notes. I do however wish the design was more elegant as I find their perfumes to look and smell quite cheap!

20160618_114354-1

Absolutely IN LOVE with this fragrance! Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana has to go on my list of all time favourites. I love the design of this bottle it’s so feminine and beautiful. I love the scent too it’s perfect for spring/summer as it’s a lovely delicate floral and fresh scent.

20160618_131104

Gucci Guilty, again has to be one of my all time favourites! It has a very distinctive scent and it lasts for a long time. Personally I like to use this as an evening scent as I find it a bit strong.

20160618_120224-1

I was pleasantly surprised with this perfume that was sent to me to try out. The Bronnley England, Crimson Cloud perfume smells very similar to the Paco Rabanne perfume I mentioned before (they both have fragrance notes of violet, patchouli, berries and rose) and this one is more affordable and I actually prefer this one. I also love the simplistic design.

Thanks for reading! What are some of your favourite fragrances?

RITUALS: Sakura Collection Body Scrub & Shower Foam Review

2016-06-10 13.12.56

Rituals is without a doubt one of my favourite cosmetics brands. All of the Rituals products I have tried are so luxurious and beautiful! I loved the Happy Buddha collection so much that I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed with the Sakura collection, and I was right because I love it too.

Each collection that Rituals creates is inspired by eastern traditions and the idea behind everything is that ‘happiness can be found in the smallest of things’. The Sakura collection is inspired by the Japanese celebration of the annual Sakura (Cherry Blossom) flowering which symbolises that ‘beauty is momentary and life should be enjoyed’! This collection combines the fragrance of cherry blossom and nourishing rice milk.

2016-06-10 13.16.59

The Ritual of Sakura Body Scrub smells amazing, the scent of cherry blossom is a very feminine floral scent that I find quite relaxing. The scrub itself is a sugar scrub so it’s not too harsh on the skin and it is also enriched with really nourishing oils. After using this scrub my skin was radiant and felt so soft and silky smooth. I have to say as well that I am obsessed with their packaging, everything always looks so stunning.

The Ritual of Sakura Shower foam is so lovely. I have used this one before when it was called Zensation, I mentioned it in my Happy Buddha collection review. I love the concept of a shower foam, they smell amazing and are a gel to foam formula. The Sakura shower foam leaves your skin so soft with it’s wonderfully rich lather.

I am so thankful to have received these products to review, as they are fantastic and I would definitely recommend them!
