Review: Birchbox July 2016

This month’s Birchbox was in collaboration with Millie Mackintosh, and everyone this month got the Loc x Millie ultra-gloss lip pencil in Bohemian Rose which Millie designed and named herself. I was honestly expecting much more from this product as I have to say I didn’t love it. The texture is very waxy/sticky and I didn’t find the shade flattering at all even though it was meant to be universally flattering.

Apart from the Loc x Millie product, I was very happy with everything else that I got this month. We got to choose which John Frieda product we wanted out of the anti-frizz primer or the 7 day volume treatment. I chose the forever smooth anti-frizz primer. It works really well in my hair to reduce frizz and it’s hydrating too. I also got the Caudalie micellar cleansing water which I love. It leaves your skin really clean and fresh, it also has a really nice scent. I haven’t tried the Elemis hydra-boost day cream yet but I am sure it will be lovely as there are so many good reviews about this product. Lastly I got a Nails inc nail polish that I wish I could have picked the shade for, as I don’t usually wear dark colours on my nails so that was a bit disappointing but I do love Nails inc polishes so I will probably use this product anyway.

Overall I would have to give this months box a 7 out of 10!
